Clear House is a home improvement platform that helps homeowners see a project before they commit to it. Homeowners photograph a room, preview the finished result rendered in their own space, and get an itemized cost estimate covering materials, labor and overhead. Where a reviewed local contractor covers that trade and area, Clear House routes the project to one of them, with payment handled securely through Stripe.
Three questions stop most projects: what will it actually look like, what should it cost, and who do I trust with my house. Clear House answers them in that order — a render of the finished room in your own space, an estimate broken into materials, labor and overhead, and, where a pro covers the homeowner's area, one reviewed local contractor at a time rather than a lead sold to a dozen callers.
Clear House is in beta and the contractor network is being built out area by area. Where no pro covers a homeowner's ZIP code yet, the app says so rather than passing their details on. Cost figures are ballpark estimates for planning; actual prices depend on location, size and finishes.
For contractors: applying and keeping a profile costs nothing, projects go to one pro at a time in the trade and area they cover, and payouts run through Stripe Connect once onboarding is complete, with a platform commission deducted from the payment. Full terms are in the Contractor Agreement.
Clear House is looking to work with brands and manufacturers, retailers and suppliers, media and creators, real estate businesses, and contractor networks.
