This Liability Disclaimer explains the limits of Clear House LLC's role and is part of our Terms of Service.
1. We are a marketplace, not a contractor — Clear House provides a platform that connects customers with independent third-party Pros. We do not perform, manage, supervise, inspect, or guarantee any home-improvement, repair, or construction work. Any work is performed by the Pro you choose, under your agreement with them.
2. Estimates and AI visualizations are illustrative — Prices, budgets, timelines, and AI-generated after images are for inspiration and planning only. They are not appraisals, guarantees, or commitments about cost, materials, feasibility, or results.
3. Verify your Pro — You are responsible for confirming that a Pro is properly licensed and insured for your project and jurisdiction before work begins, and for reviewing any contract, permit, and warranty.
4. No liability for the work — To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clear House LLC is not responsible or liable for any act, omission, delay, defect, damage, injury, loss, or dispute arising from work performed or not performed by a Pro.
5. Safety and emergencies — Clear House is not an emergency service. For gas leaks, electrical hazards, flooding, fire, or any situation that threatens safety, contact the appropriate licensed professional or emergency services (such as 911 in the U.S.) immediately.
6. Trade-specific notes — Certain trades (such as plumbing, electrical, gas, and structural work) carry additional risk and legal requirements. Additional trade-specific disclaimers may be shown during quoting and checkout.
