This Contractor Legal Agreement applies to any contractor, tradesperson, or business (Pro) that uses the Clear House Pro Portal to receive leads, send quotes, communicate with customers, perform work, or receive payouts.
1. Independent contractor status — You are an independent business. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship between you and Clear House LLC. You control how, when, and with what means you perform work.
2. Licensing, insurance and compliance — You represent that you hold all licenses, registrations, permits, and insurance required by law to perform the work you quote on, and that you will keep them current. You will perform all work in a professional manner and in compliance with applicable building codes and laws.
3. Quotes, scope and warranties — You are responsible for the accuracy of your quotes, pricing, scope, and any warranty you offer. Any warranty is an agreement between you and the customer; Clear House is not a party to it.
4. Payments, payouts and taxes — Payments are collected from customers and routed to you via Stripe Connect. Clear House retains a service fee (platform commission). You are responsible for your own taxes and tax reporting obligations.
5. Proof of completion — When you mark a job complete you must upload clear after photos of the finished work and confirm the completion statement. These serve as a record of completion.
6. Conduct — You will communicate honestly and professionally and will not attempt to take transactions off the platform to avoid fees.
7. Non-circumvention — For twelve months after an introduction, you will not arrange or accept payment outside the platform for work that originated through Clear House.
8. Liability and indemnification — You are solely responsible for your work and its consequences. You will indemnify Clear House LLC from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your work.
9. Term and termination — Either party may end this relationship at any time.
10. Governing law — This Agreement is governed by the laws of South Carolina. Questions? Contact us at support@clearhouse.app.
